Discovered how to make chocolate cake in the microwave tonight, this is a dark day indeed. Well a dark chocolate day. Mmmm...
Not sure I'd want any part of a cake made in a microwave oven.
I would
Toast coloured toast.
Chocolate out of my Thomas The Tank Engine advent calender.

You be very surprised!
Is it that chocolate cake in a mug thing?
I tried that, was nice!
Kind of, but on a slightly bigger scale.
It had the texture of those Golden Syrup Sponge Pudding you can buy.
Also made a chocolate sauce to pour over. It was all quite pleasant.

Does Mrs Leevil come home most days to find the kitchen ceiling covered in various ingredients and Mr Leevil snoozing exhaustedly on the sofa?
Actually this was at about 1am, after we got munchies. Hence the use of the microwave.

So it was a pudding and not a cake.
Um, maybe?

I don't believe a microwave can make a nice cake; a pudding yes, but not a cake.
It was my first attempt, and although it was slightly soggy looking, until I tried to get it out of the tin, it looked very much like a cake. It was only til I turned it upside down and it proceeded to collapse that it not longer looked like a cake.
I ended up putting it in a bowl and covering it in chocolate sauce, so yes - Pudding!
