I'm still waiting for a response, but it hasn't been a week yet, so I'm not worried as to where it is yet.
This company looks very interesting. Seeing this has given me the motivation to work on my scripts a bit more, which even if I don't end up sending them for feedback, I still have benefitted from the kick up the arse! Good luck to everyone who sends something to them. Q
I wrote a sitcom episode last summer about the goings on at a music venue. It was the first piece of comedy I wrote and I was quite proud of it for a first effort. The only thing I did with it was enter it in the Angeleye competition and send off the first 10 pages to screenplay productions.
I finally got a reply last week! They said that the leak on BSG had led to a huge input of scripts to them. They liked the first 10 pages of my sitcom and asked to see the rest. I frantically converted it into to correct script format and sent it off a couple of days ago. Now, I have to wait and see what happens!
They do strike me as a pretty decent outfit, i sent them a treatment and got a reply within a fortnight, rejected of course. But good luck with that Ben.
It's nice to have someone who gives a bit of feedback and doesn't just say no without stating why.
They rejected my idea BUT were extremely forthcoming with feedback. Definitely worth contacting.
I found that too, the feedback was longer than the treatment i sent.
I got a rejection from Jan. The feedback was interesting and, in parts, useful. I'd like to know if anybody has got beyond just a detailed rejection.
Do you have to send hard copy?
