The microphone has swung into the camera shot. The reporter breaks into giggles.

You didn't mean that kind of corpse did you?

The reporter's strained face of determination falls once more into laughter.

A suited politician sits in the newsroom.

Politician
I have never been involved in any kind of inappropriate action with any of my staff or colleagues, I oh...I f**ked that one up.

Paxman Voice
You f**ked who up where?

There is laughter offscreen.

Politician
Oh yes, very easy.

Paxman Voice
Oh, was she?

There is more helpless offscreen laughter.

A newsreader sits at her desk.

Newsreader
The Prime Minister Gordon Brown joins me now...

Pause

Newsreader
Displaying all his usual eloquence and personality there.

Director (Off Screen)
He's been cut off.

Paxman Voice
Oh, we've dropped a brown have we?

The newsreader sinks her head to the desk in despair.

Yeah I really like this, I'm sure I've seen a similar sketch on something but can't for the life of me remember where. Very good though.

No, I'm sure it's off something like South Park or Family Guy, it's really bugging me now because I can't remember.

I'm not a big watcher of either so at least it would only be derivative rather than devious.

Oh yeah I'm not saying you stole it, it's a funny idea it just reminds me of something, I think it may be Family Guy.

Heh, no I was just worrying that a sketch had been buried in my subconscious and uncovered itself.

I've been very excited writed Python sketches word for word before, only later realising that it wasn't sudden inspiration.

Ah I've remembered what it was. That bit on Family Guy with Osama Bin Laden recording his message for the American government in his cave and he keeps getting stuff wrong and it's like a blooper reel.

So yeah you're idea is a different take on it anyway. Glad I remembered though or that would've been bugging me all night.

How about making it sicker?

I considered a corpse being accidentally in shot and the presenter saying "ah, everyone has their moment of fame."

How about someone getting burnt by a flamethrower or someone dropping a hand grenade.
