*Cough* My attempt at serious poetry. Really. Page 2
I used to write a lot of poetry and one day some 'bloke' asked my why I had tears in my eyes when I was reading a poem out, so I asked him, "where do you think the f**king poetry comes from?" I then wrote the encounter into the pome for the next time I read it out!
Poems are generally about very strong feelings of some kind...
'There was a young lady called Hunt' is an exception to that rule btw.
Marion Hun Thanks for your words. If those poems came through to you, as how you described, then I have managed to get at least one other person to understand them. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!Job done.
It is hard to write something about such a serious subject & I genuinely feel for the other mother who is in the same predicament as I. I also have to deal with the fact that by wanting my son to live hers must die. That is a really horrid feeling you know. Knowing that your son winning a fight means the death of someone elses son. Horrid yet I cant help the way I feel. Thats why I was so open with the (I hope its not me) & stuff. I would love a more beautiful way of putting it but my boy will appreciate the fact it is simple & easy to read.
Martin thats cool. Thanks for that.
I apreciate all your comments. Thankyou so much for taking the time to read them & reply. I know I drone on & on & on about Our Brave Soldiers & these terrible pointless wars.(Oooooooooooops, did it again)
I will shutup now.
Very moving and heartfelt. And high quality, I thought.
