The 13 episode series Hancock www.comedy.co.uk/tv/hancock/episodes/ ,Tony's post-Galton & Simpson series for ATV - never before re-shown on British TV since its initial showing in 1963 - is being broadcast on Rewind TV (Sky channel 190), beginning 8pm this Sunday 26 May with (naturally) the first episode, titled "The Assistant", written, somewhat bizzarely, by Ray Alan of Lord Charles/Tich & Quackers fame and Terry Nation of Daleks fame.
Synopsis of episode one: Hancock is challenged by a department store manager to work in the store for a week without being rude to the customers. It co-stars Patrick Cargill (We're not all Rob Roys you know), Kenneth Griffith, Martita Hunt and Adrienne Posta.
