Door-to-Door Cat Salesman Sketch

Door-to-Door Cat Salesman Sketch
================================

Scene 1. Living Room.

A WOMAN IS HOLDING A TABBY CAT IN HER ARMS. SHE GOES TO THE DOOR TO THE GARDEN, OPENS IT AND PUTS THE CAT DOWN.

Woman: Out you go, Fluffy.

THE CAT GOES OUT AND THE WOMAN SHUTS THE DOOR.

F/X: THE FRONT DOOR BELL SOUNDS.

Scene 2. Front Porch.

THE WOMAN OPENS THE FRONT DOOR. A MAN IS STANDING THERE WITH A CAT IN HIS ARMS.

Man: Can I interest you in buying a cat?

Woman: No, thank you. I've just put one out.

I've tried, but I still don't get this.

Short and fairly sweet.

I've tried, but I still don't get this.

You're not missing much!
Not that it will help you, but, on reflection, I would dispense with the 'Salesman' and just have:

Man: Would you like a cat?

If it's a tobacco related joke (which I think it is), then it's a step up from the cat called cigarette, who kept being taken out for a drag.

Or the dog without any legs.
