The Completely Made-Up Adventures Of Dick Turpin

Starring Noel Fielding in the title role with a brilliant, very recognisable supporting cast, this series has played out on Apple TV+ recently.

I absolutely loved every moment of it. Best British comedy to launch in years, with oodles of silliness and a strange mix of period with modern nods that somehow really works.

Exquisite fun. Highly recommended.

Delightfully daft, wonderfully weird and fabulously funny. Well worth watching.

Good fun. Not my absolute favourite but an enjoyable period romp. More please!

Didn't make it through the first Episode, I'm afraid.
I don't think he's very good at it, TBH.
The rest of the cast are giving it plenty of welly, the production values are through the roof and the script is OK - but he's just drifting through being the same character he is in Boosh, Buzzcocks, Bake-off etc etc.
So it's a 'pass' from me, sad to say.

I really enjoyed this. Full of fun and silliness. Great supporting cast and it's hard to imagine anyone other than Noel Fielding being more suited to the role. It's my favourite comedy series in quite some time.

Here's hoping for series 2.

Yes! A shame it only has six, I'd so love to be watching more. A real show to get lost in. Cannot get enough Dick.

(Christopher!)

Can you only see it if you've got Apple TV, or is it available elsewhere?

Sadly it's an Apple TV+ exclusive, yes.

Some good actors but boy is this tiresome/trite to sit through it's not too far off being CBBC material.
And having Marc Wootton ape Julian Barratt's mannerisms is either a strange homage or an insult?
Noel needs to get back to edgier material but being the Bake Off guy probably won't allow it sadly.

I quite enjoyed it. Good, rollicking fun.

Cannot get enough Dick.

I don't wish to know that.
