This has been preoccupying of late.
I can't remember the shows name or the channel. I think it aired mid eighties early nineties? I think there was a single series; I'm pretty sure it wasn't just a pilot.
The plot:
A young nurse, while holding down a full-time job, is raising her two younger brothers due their parents being deceased.
I remember this elder sister being played by someone reminiscent of a young Jan Francis / Amanda Abbington? The actress was definitely not either of them; I checked on IMDb.
I have done quite a bit of research on the web and have got nowhere. For one reason or another I have a feeling that the show title was something like Different Strokes (not to be confused with Diff'rent Strokes the American sitcom). Due to the greater popularity of the American sitcom it is very difficult to trace that name.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
