We Are Not Alone

I watched We Are Not Alone earlier - at about 1 hour 45 mins, maybe it counts more as a film, but I think it's a pilot for a possible series. Shown on Dave.

Mostly set after Earth has been invaded and taken over by a race of aliens (Gu'un) - with most of the story taking place in the small town of Clitheroe.

Some of the 'fish out of water' type comedy you may expect of aliens struggling to understand human customs, and a bit of satire/political references but thankfully not too much of that lark.

I thought it was fairly good... Not laugh-out-loud funny really IMO, but some quite amusing moments, and the story kept me engaged for the duration. Some familiar faces in the cast, including Mike Wozniak, Vicki Pepperdine and Joe Thomas in the leading alien roles.

I only know Mike Wozniak from House of Games.

He was very good on Taskmaster, two or three series back

Wozniak was also in the sitcom Man Down (alongside Greg Davies, Roisin Conaty, Rik Mayall and others).
He's playing a bit against type in We Are Not Alone, as he's the main villain of the piece. Although despite the alien make-up, still sporting his trademark 'tache!
