Climate change.

Note I did not write 'crisis or 'Emergency. (those words are opinion)

There is no doubt that temperatures are slightly rising. I don't disagree with that but as to the cause - that's up for debate (or not for some)
Too much scare mongering (as usual) and no global compliance.
I wouldn't normally broach the subject but my 8 year old grandson told me he was frightened that the world is going to end before he grows up.
It hit me hard that a young boy was terrified for the future.
Everywhere you look or read 'the end of the world is nigh'

Your argument would be worth listening to if you didn't post fake imagery - versions of which have for, some years, been used by climate change deniers.
30 seconds on google turns up various versions. The nutty end of twitter is full of it.
The two images are from two different German TV stations, who have different schemes for portraying temperature.
Below is an image of the 2017 forecast as broadcast by the TV station that broadcast the bottom picture.

No conspiracy.
The only conspiracy theory comes from the Climate Change Deniers.

Stephen has a degree from the Trump University in Twitterology, he must be right.

I wouldn't know that it was faked but they definitely put red areas on the weather forecasts last weekend with some warning of hundreds if not thousands of deaths.
They are purposely over exaggerating for effect and frightening people.
People like you Mr Lazzard immediately jump into label mode.
Climate denier, conspiracy, etc.
I didn't say I was a denier - the climate is definitely changing, as it always has.
So tell me, why has it changed in the past? What was the man-made effect then?
There are answers to that.

One of those maps is a topological map, the other is a temperature map. I'm sure whoever slapped that up on social media thought it was a 'gotcha' moment, but they're comparing apples with a temperature-graded map of apples. If they can find one that shows that German weather forecasters used to illustrate 25C with a soothing blue colour and a weather lady saying 'cold one today, huh?' (or 'kalt heute, hä?', I guess), then maybe there's something to it.

Overall, must try harder. Which is coincidentally also my message to those that attended COP26.

As for what to tell your grandson, it's heartbreaking to hear that he's having to be frightened by all of this at that age. I'd usually advocate telling kids the truth rather than lying to them, but in this case I'd tell him with the calm authority that only a grandfather can carry that everything'll be fine and let him get on with enjoying his childhood. I hope that helps him to do just that. ?

It was manna from heaven when the hot winds from The Sahara blew over the UK (including dust that muckied me car up)
Perfect fodder to the 'see we told you' brigade.

I always laugh when you rush off to google to cherry pick facts.

Don't ask questions if you don't want answers.

Simplest thing is to slap big suns over the weather chart and just say "Scorchio!", as Poula Fisch did.

While I think that rising temperatures are natural to degree. We are clearly exacerbating the process.
We are bad tenants who pollute the planet daily in host of ways.
As it stands half the polluters are spending their dough on rockets into space.
These people know this planets f**ked due to their and others actions, coupled the weakness of governments globally.

Another "I think I know more than learned scientists do - whereas in actuality I know absolutely f**k all" - thread

Rude as usual, without any fabric.
Were you head of the debating society at Uni?

I suppose in this weather it's better to wear 15 Denier than 80 Denier.
