.Well, it s all a bit of fun to me, and don't understand why peeps take it so serious.

Hahaha
now that is funny

?

Had a slight stumble when I decided to tinker with my team a couple of weeks back.

Decided to take Salah out and use the funds to strengthen elsewhere. But, as ever, that tosser Guardiola decides to start benching Foden when he was in red hot form (and as soon as I put him in my team). Mason Mount also seems to have fallen out of form, but I'll stick with him. Good to see that my "PUT ALMIRON IN AS HE'S BANGING THE GOALS IN' didn't backfire though...

And did Hercules ever get to grips with why people were putting the injured Haaland in their team? I got bored reading through all the posts on the subject.

Yes, but I wouldn't want to bore you with the outcome.

Short, sharp and to the point - just how I like it. Thank you indeed.

COVID followed by a World Cup in the winter. Football just seems weird these days... oh my god, I'm getting old aren't I??

I say this as it's caused unprecedented changes in FPL too and it will be interesting to see what challenges we are going to face picking a team for GW17.

...and the death/funeral of the Queen.

Actually remembering to do it on Boxing Day morning I should think.

I have had an Email from FPL saying I haven't used my wildcard yet and this weekend's games are my last chance to use it. (it won't roll over to week 17)
Is this right?

Yes, apparently. I thought the old and new ones changed over on Christmas Day, but no (I think they've changed it this season) the old first half of the season Wildcard chip runs out tomorrow at 11.00 (AM presumably), and the new one starts on Boxing Day, which means you are not going to have a Wildcard for 6 weeks, and that is why I think it they used to change on the same day, which is what I had in my head...............

But then with the recent subs benchgate debacle I was shot down on, I'm probably wrong on that too.

Waits for Billy and Co to prove me wrong ?

You are quite right.

It is effectively the same as usual. It's just that, for this season, there are no games after tomorrow until after Christmas Day so obviously it can't be used between this weekend and Christmas Day.

But then again there are unlimited free transfers between weeks 16 & 17 so it won't really matter anyway.

There is of course the usual second wildcard for use in the second half of the season (ie after 26 December).

O....M....G I didn't realise that! What are we going to do for the next six weeks!! Get a life I suppose.

But wait! There'll still be Super 6 ?

Just occurred to me (always was quick on the uptake), presumably the season will end much later or will they cram in more mid-week matches, and/or will we get many more DGWs after Christmas?

I need to know these things. ?

The Premier League season is due to end on Sunday 28 May so a couple of weeks later than usual, yes. The Cup Final is then on Saturday 3 June (which is also Derby Day).

Of course there's a coronation to fit in on Monday 8 May. Whether that will affect the fixtures of the preceding weekend, as the funeral did, remains to be seen.

All Premier League fixtures after Christmas week are scheduled for weekends only except for a full midweek fixture list w/c 24 April. But, as that has always been scheduled, they will no doubt have factored that in to their gameweeks from the outset. There are though 4 postponed fixtures yet to fit in which may well result in double gameweeks for some clubs.

Well thanks to Stephen Goodlad I've just played my Wildcard
if nothing else it might help me win my H2H game this week

Thank you Billy, as always fully detailed ?
