And I see they have replaced my Armstrong, who didn't start, with Groß, who scored me 7 points - I'm liking this "new" revelation.

How could that work?
You would have to own both the player who was subbed off and the player who was subbed on. Who is going to hold a player who never plays in the unlikely eventuality that he replaces your principal player following an injury?
With no Salah or Kane, Haaland out was always going to be a difficult captain choice. Unlucky that Saka went off injured after 24 minutes. I think it's reasonable to assume he would done quite well in a game that finished 5-0 without him.
I was hoping to take something out of my 17 point deficit to Kipper, instead he's gone another 32 points ahead. With dogshit like a double Everton defence! Oh well, it's only postponing the inevitable.

I disagree. (Mainly because I finished top two years ago and am level on points at the top at the moment.)
The H2H requires consistency week-in week-out. In the main league you can post a high score one week, which then covers you for a few lower scoring weeks.
It is also more realistic in that, like football itself, you face just one opponent each week, rather than, in effect, trying to beat all 11 teams on a weekly basis. And, with league positions being determined by the traditional 3 points for a win and one for a draw, rather than progressing up the main league by scoring 100 points in one week while the four teams around you only scored 60 points, it is easier to monitor your team's league position.
I also find it interesting, during the course of a gameweek, to keep an eye on how my opponent is doing in relation to my own score.
