Big Boys

Surprised there wasn't already a thread about this. Is anybody else watching? I'm absolutely loving it. The voiceover grated a bit to start with, but the characters are great. I found it really refreshing to see a male friendship portrayed with some actual tenderness and kindness, it's really sweet. Jon Pointing especially, I thought he was going to be a 'Jay From Inbetweeners' type, but his character has so much more depth.

I'm gonna check out episode 1 (at least) later or at the weekend, been hearing great things on both social media and from a few friends!

Binge watched series 2 yesterday, marvellous, just as good as series 1. Jumps from outrageously funny to heartbreaking in an instant. The final episode, without wanting to give spoilers, deals with life and death in possibly the best and most touching way I've ever seen, and the final long steadicam shot is masterly and supremely satisfying. Bravo Jack Rooke!

The only down note for viewers is that he drew a line so decisively under the last episode that it would be very difficult to come up with a third series - but perhaps he feels he's said everything, and wants to move on. He's only thirty, the bastard!
