Weird Luke Page 2

I'll add that Weird Luke doesn't strike me as a catchy name. Since the title is the first thing we see, it really should be something catchy. Something that rhymes or has alliteration, maybe.

Weird Willy

I think this is excellent. Really enjoyable and it would definitely be entertaining for any child.

I had a book of silly rhymes published a few years ago but the publisher was quite obscure, downright weird and made up excuses for not paying me. In the end I had to part ways with them as the publisher was feigning illness to avoid paying me and other writers and illustrators. I've looked her up since and I believe she now does tarot readings!

Here's an example of one of the poems:

The Didgyduldeen.

'Of all the dances there have ever been
Be careful when doing the didgyduldeen
I danced it once and I found it quite nice
But the rule is to never do the dance twice
For out of the shadows jumped Barnaby Brewster
The roughular, toughular mad fighting rooster
Ducking and weaving with anger in his eyes
Just 'cos I twirled, hopped and slapped my own thighs
If I could I would have thrown in the towel
As there's never been as mean-spirited or as dangerous a fowl.
I was face to face now with the bird that's most feared
I did the didgyduldeen again and he just disappeared.'
