1968.................. American muscle car, by way of a change, and when they were at their peak imo.

1969......... Now, this is an interesting one for me, as I was a rep for Heinz in the late 60s when these were launched and remember the massive launch party they put on at a London hotel, where the entire UK sales force were in attendance. At the time Vesta meals were huge and this was Heinz's answer to them, and basically neither were anywhere near a decent meal for one - I think they died a death in the late 1970s.
1970................4/- (four shillings = 20p, and here is a classic example of how they confused and "conned" people, IF they had based the decimal coinage one year later [15/1/1971 - Decimal Day] on the Ten shillings and not the £1, 4/- would have equalled 40p, but oh no, despite the majority advice, the government ploughed ahead and ignored everyone in the know - bankers etc.)
Anyway, I used to smoke these and collect the vouchers to redeem for gifts from their catalogue.
1973............... Note how they mention the ashtrays 🙄 And seat belts extra!!
1975........................
Those felt tip pens were a revelation at the time, a massive step up from crayons and coloured pencils.

Yes, they were for me on the USAF bases, when I worked on them in the early 60s. You could get quite high on sniffing them too. 😎
1980..................£2,400 in today's money for the Hitachi - that was a lot of dosh!!
1994...............Now double that price with inflation, which is not bad, as a present day one is just over £30K Clever ad too - one of those cross over ones
Yeah, that is clever, I don't remember seeing an advert that makes a reference to another product like that. As you said "one of those cross over ones", were there other adverts that did that sort of thing then?
There were a number of them in the 1970s/80s, and the best ones off the top of my head, were the Carling Black Label ones with Stephen Frost and Mark Arden - bloody brilliant. The best ever Black Label one in my book, was the Dambusters one.
Anyway, here's a couple from them and that lager - enjoy!
The "Levi Jeans" advert
The "Old Spice" advert
Ah! Good stuff, thanks. I don't remember seeing those, although I remember the Dambusters one.

Oh dear, you made me do it - have to play it again. Absolutely brilliant!! Stephen and Mark again
1999..............
Des Lynam advertising Miracle Gro, that's a bit random! Was he the first person they thought of to represent 'people who are too busy to water their plants'? Was he particularly overworked in 1999?
