British Comedy Guide

Newby from U.S.

I've been a fan of British sitcoms since the '70s. Have found them to be much better than most U.S. sitcoms. Some of my favs are Waiting For God, Last Of The Summer Wine, Vicar Of Dibley, AbFab, Raising Damp, Men Behaving Badly, Kiss Me Kate, Green Room, Spaced, Hyperdrive, Red Dwarf, Yes Minister, Yes Prime Minister, Blackadder, Mr.Bean, Thin Blue Line, Keeping Up Appearences, As Time Goes By, Coupling, Father Ted, My Hero, My Family, The Young Ones, Chef, The Brittas Empire, The Mighty Boosh, Black Books, Feel The Force, Spaced, Clatterford, Hardware, The Robinsons, Worse Week Of My Life and Faulty Towers. And there are a few more that I can't remember their names.

Nice one, i think ours are better as well. Welcome.

Hellooooo! Welcome! ;)

Then again, you do have The Simpsons. Whatever America does, you will always have The Simpsons hanging over our heads.

Welcome :D

I'm not saying the US has no good sitcoms or shows. Yes there is the Simpsons, we also have Two And A Half Men, Scrubs, Carpoolers, South Park, Sarah Silverman, Drawn Together, Pushing Daisies, Burn Notice, Saving Grace, Monk, Psyche, Boston Legal and Reaper. I have always liked the British sci/fi stuff and things like Lovejoy along with the sitcoms and comedy variety shows like French And Saunders, Alas Smith And Jones, Benny Hill, Whose Line and Monty Python. Of course there is a lot of things I have never seen because of the limits of PBS. I am really glad I get BBC America.

Hello and welcome!

Was it the name on the side of your box?

Yes it was. Except I'm dyslexic and inadvertantly changed the spellink.
