Ruby Wax

Did anyone catch the Ruby Meets... programme the other day where she looked back at some of her old interviews?
It was actually quite interesting, and some great guests like Goldie Hawn, Carrie Fisher, and Tom Hanks.

Also Donald Trump and OJ Simpson which of course were worth a rewatch.
(Lady shakes OJ's hand and then says I've never shaken hands with a murderer, but he doesn't seem to mind that much.)

It was interesting. Was she the first to do irreverent tongue in cheek interviews ? Ali G did his over a decade later. "Ruby Wax Meets" was absolutely fabulous. I saw her live, not as good , she needs a foil. It's hard to believe she was classily trained and began at the Royal Shakespeare Company. A lady of many talents.

Not many remember, and I've never heard it mentioned, is the small uncredited part she played in The Final Conflict (3rd in the Omen trilogy) as the US Ambassador's secretary in 1981.

Have always enjoyed her shows, keeping me glued to the set, as she seems on the edge all the time, and I wait to see if she will have a complete meltdown, which ends in mucho tears.

She was in Girls on Top, which was billed as the female Young Ones, but was total and utter shit. Also had a cameo in the second and arguably funniest episode of Happy Families, which wasn't.

Just saw her interviewing Cosby
What an arsehole he is, not that that's news to anyone these days

70 today.

I love Ruby but she's had some terrible mental problems.
