BCG Super 6 League Page 19

Bagged the 3 - 0 Arsenal win.

Well done, but Feeoree didn't enter again, after last week's excellent late start! Oh dear.

Yes a shame, as I proved last year you can't win the league by doing the hokey kokey. Zaha offer bet came in, another easy £25. That's 3 out of 3 so far giving me £60 profit, I'm definitely continuing with them and at this rate my could easily bring in £500 plus for the season if they keep up the £25 max stake. The problem is in keeping that dosh and not frittering it away on impossible accas. ?‍♂️

In my experience (with several bookmakers) they don't like it if you take advantage of their promotions but don't lose money on other bets. The only reason they offer these promotions is to entice you in. If you're not enticed in to their satisfaction, they'll soon pull the plug on your eligibility for these special bets or even close your account altogether.

Sky have a thing called 'point shaving' They may give you these free bets but you'll never get the best odds on any available markets.
(have a look at a site called oddschecker) If a horse is 6/1 on skybet, you'll see at least 8/1 on oddschecker with other bookmakers.
And they double down. Most bookies will pay the final odds after a race - that is if you put your bet on at 6/1 and it wins at 7/1, they will pay 7/1
If it wins at 5/1 they will still pay 6/1. Sky point shave and then lock you in at the odds you backed at.
So well done Alf for taking advantage but if you use the winnings for other bets - use oddschecker for the better odds.

Yes I'm aware their general odds aren't the best but my other betting site accounts have elapsed through non use and this new have to send ID law is stopping me bothering to reopen them. But I might get round to doing it soon when I have a whole free day for all their faff.

But sky have at least followed them with the 2-0 up pay out even if that team doesn't win. And there's been a few of those already this season like Leeds - Southampton and Leicester - Brighton. I just find the skybet site very easy to navigate, Paddy Power's used to send me all over the place although I liked their more generous odds, as I did Bet Victor but found their website jumpy and unstable. Sky have a very tidy website where I can find the bet I want quickly before the odds change.

And, to be fair, Skybet invariably offer the best each way terms (up to the first 8 in some races) and it is only in the races in which they offer such enhanced terms that they don't offer best odds guaranteed. And you can always opt for SP.

And other firms are also cutting back on best odds guaranteed. Paddy Power & Betfair Sportsbook included.

It might be just me but I have noticed a 'thing with sky several times.

Say I want to back a horse e/w at 16/1. As I place the bet, I get the message 'the odds have changed do you accept them?
It now shows 14/1. I say no and cancel it.
The odds then show 14/1 for a second and go back to 16/1
I try bet again and they change to 14/1 again.

The TV is showing 16/1 but it won't let me bet at those odds.

The vicissitudes of football predictions. Top in Super 6, bottom in FPL

Some mad results there, must be one of the lowest scoring rounds ever. And shows why you should never bet heavy on accas. (Is ten pounds heavy?) Well done Stephen just to get one right.

Yes, well done Stephen for getting one dead correct! ?

My predictions for this coming week have offered me the lowest odds I've ever seen - 6/1

Is that good? Or a load of shit, as results of late have been bizarre

I'm just going to do them as early as possible regardless of who might play/score, and if I forget to edit at least I have an entry, haha.

Already done this weeks one for now anyway!

Good idea Steve and you barely lost any ground last week because the results were so bizarre. It's a ploy I used after missing a few last season and they usually turned out better than the ones I'd spent a whole morning on with Fantasy Football Scout (that's an ill conceived joke).
Today's selection should bring a lot more variety of predictions than last week's. I'm finding it quite tricky to settle on results let alone scores, as the usually non fancied teams have started the season very well. Hmm...

.................Fantasy Football Scout (that's an ill conceived joke).

As Vic used to say " You would not let it lie"

Thought I was pushing it a bit, AND had 5 points the last time I looked, when it matched my 3-0.
