Might be time to let that one go, AB ;)

You're right, Gappy. I have one lined up for tomorrow but I might make that the last of the series.

Chuckling like mad at Alison's reworkings.

Beaky, you're a true connoisseur of comedy.

Alison's on a mission.
?

True, Lazzard. My mission is entertain everyone at BCG but there are those here who think that, if they don't read my posts, they're not 'mission' very much.

Yes it is all getting a bit boring.

I don't know - it's refreshing to see someone giving as good as they get.
And as we're constantly, and drearily, being told by the very people getting all shirty - "If you don't like it, don't look."
Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Lazzard.

Here's my latest offering.

Yes but the reaction to upskirting is getting boring. Can't he move on to something else?

It's like a Stewart Lee routine.
Starts off funny, goes on too long, stops being funny, then starts being funny again.

Fair enough, though those of us with no knowledge of, on interest in, past feuds aren't hugely interested in witnessing the giving or the getting, for the most part. But, as an impartial, I will definitely observe that Alison has won the upskirting point, and might perhaps knock off the victory laps ;)

I have to say, when inspiration strikes some of Alison's rewrites really tickle me, and some of them feel a bit pointless. Same hit rate as the original material, really, some crackers and some really half-arsed efforts. So they're A-OK by me.

PS Mods, I pressed "Report" for this comment by mistake the first time. I'm sure you've worked it out before getting this far, but please ignore, I have no concerns to raise (except my inability to control my mouse, apparently)

In itself a worthy saucy postcard caption!

Somebody should control this mouse. It's getting into some very bad habits.

Original postcard (c.1930). The couple have met on holiday and appear to be getting along very well together.

My variation, based on the same scenario.

What's the point? You can't surpass the snappy original. Yours is too long winded and nothing really to do with the image.

I'm not sure I get the original. Is it just that he's such a bad salesperson he's trying to sell mothballs to people who don't have clothes? Or is he a canny salesperson selling mothballs to people whose clothes are often in storage?

Or is it just "stick one of these up your fanny, love"?

The rewrite has the advantage of being comprehensible to me, though it's also terrible, so a pyrrhic victory!

I take your point(s), Gappy.

Here's another offering.
