Rúbaí

Morning all.

My name is Antoin Beag and I'm new to the parish! Just joined with the hopes of starting to get opportunities in the UK scene as there's not much happening in Ireland. To show everyone my work here's Rúbaí - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjYx5v2BUWo - a short film about a little girl who doesn't want to do her holy communion because she's an atheist.

Feel free to let me know what you think!

Excellent ! Captivating. Well acted all round.

That is superb and I wish it had been longer. Must have been a great experience for you to be the writer and I knew I recognised Donncha Crowley from Father Ted. Some lovely dialogue especially the line "think of all the money you'll make". Humorous and touching ending.

The Irish language is pleasing to the ear and wish I had learnt it as a child when my dad tried to teach me but I learnt some basic phrases from books. Is Irish still compulsory in schools in Ireland?

I remember choosing not to do my First Holy Communion and being jealous of my brother and sister because they got to do communion at Sunday Mass and I felt left out.
