Sky Arts Thursday 12 August 9pm (Freeview channel 11 I'm told): Comedy Legends - Barry Cryer pays tribute to Hattie Jacques.

My digi-box is permanently set for that series.

A reminder, really only for MM, and to tell him to make sure he has a box of tissues handy.

TPTV Tues 25th 3.25 pm Frazer Hines interviews Melvin Hayes

TPTV Sunday 1:15 am

"Turn the Key Softly"

Very good film about three woman released from prison for various offences and how they try and stay on the straight and narrow.

A superb Yvonne Mitchell, framed by her ex boyfriend, who then reappears on the scene - played by Terence Morgan, who was excellent in these sort of parts as a nasty piece of work.
Joan Collins as a prostitute trying to put her past behind her, and Kathleen Harrison as an inveterate shoplifter, shunned by her family, so her only friend is her little dog Johnny.

Have a box of tissues ready or a handkerchief.

Michael Caine Day on Great Movies Classic this Sunday 14th. For those who like that kind of thing. To celebrate his upcoming 89th birthday.
