The Eejits

This looks good - good pedigree and I will try to make a point of watching it - really this time!

These usually clash with Jonathan Ross but he's had some pretty crap guests recently.

This is bad.

Very bad.

I dunno. There were a couple of very funny bits when I did laugh out loud. A bit too close to Father Ted at times though.

It had very few jokes, but gags it did have were hackneyed to death.."if God didn't want us to eat animals then why did he make them out of meat"...and the "artistic/autistic mixup", really old jokes.

I'm with Martin, its bad, i'm sure you can find something better to do.

But Irish people are funny aren't they!

Are they?

its only the words that English writers put in their mouth that make them funny.

Sure and begorrah.

Laughing out loud

Thought the lead had a bit of Father Ted's amiable quality about him and it seemed his sidekick was doing a bit of Dougal at times, but it was all pretty obvious stuff. Why do Linehan and Matthews appear in their own work? They don't add anything.

I didn't watch this as after I read the synopsis of it, I thought "A bunch of idiotic Irish people acting like idiots and written by Linehan and Matthews? Why?".

Why? 'Cos Dermot Morgan is dead.

Linehan didnt write this, just Matthews and another bloke. And it was shit. Really really shit, i cant believe one of the writers had something to do with Father Ted! Where were the jokes? Dull, terribly written, horrible lead characters; christ almighty it was bad. By far and away the worst of these pilots so far. Anyone else get the feeling Matthews was riding Linehans coat tails all those years? No wonder Linehan went off on his own!
