Crook's Tour (1940)

I only watched this because it had Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne as the cricket mad Charters and Caldicott (Hitchcock's excellent The Lady Vanishes), this time in the lead parts. They were their usual muted humour selves, which I like but the film was a bit silly and boring involving spies (I think). They are mistaken for two German spies (?) and given a 78 record that has some dastardly plan in German in the middle of the song - the real spies having American accents for some reason when they appear............I know, confusing innit.

A number of people get bumped off and thank God it wasn't a long film.
