Musical "comedy", which again is basically a thin story with variety acts of the day stuck onto it. The music is good from the likes of an early Mantovani (before his wonderful "cascading strings"), Nat Gonella and the Mills Brothers; but the comedy is, as you would expect, lame from Clapham and Dwyer and the gormless Claude Dampier.
Sing As You Swing (1937)
I thought "Sing as you swing" might be a musical comedy about the KKK, but clearly not.
Or about those clubs married couples join to meet new friends.
Would've been good to see the Mills Brothers. My Dad's favourites.
