Awesomest?!

Saw a poster for a childrens tv channel today whose tag line was

'the awesomest stuff on tv'

I felt like crying. There are so many things wrong with that sentence that i won't even start. But i had to have a little rant.

Sorry.(and breath) Teary Teary Teary

Hey dude, after all the marketing and focus groups that had to be the awesomest tagline they could come up with.

If the kids grow up believing that's a real word, is it worse than teaching them there's only 9 planets when there's now considered to be more?

Is it worse than the advertising watchdogs allowing toy companies to aim their ads at kids to encourage them to pester their progressively dis-empowered parents to buy potentially lethal Mattel toys, manufactured by poorly paid chinese labourers? Companies who continue to pollute with the aim of increasing their profits?

I think you've opened a massive can of worms here dude.

Are we all just consumers from birth til death? Where does all the money go when there's nothing left to sell?

Sorry for ranting!

It's all right.
Crackerjack isn't a real word either, and that lot turned out okay.
Didn't they?...

wow, and breath!!

All the things you mentioned are bad, unless you have plenty of money then capatilism makes most people miserable while at the same time raising general living standards. Just look at the people around you.

However it's only the sentence that makes my blood boil.

Lady Laura:

Yes we did...

We were the awesomest that ever awesomed...

And you'll never forgive us for it... ;)

No.

Sorry it may take a few days for me to get over this sentence. I pass it every day on the way to work and i am seriously considering vandalism.

Arise the pedantic vigilanties

The Crackerjack generation gave you Tiswas and you loved that didn't you? (even if it was crass rubbish..) ;)

Crackajack were the awesomest when I were a lad!

Well spoke that hero of the Crackerjack generation... huzzah! Laughing out loud

Good man, there's hope for you yet..

Not much, but some.. ;)

I have a good one for the new Sony-Erricson phone...

So Robustialised and Attractified, you're gonna think about it while you're wanking!

I actually quite like that.

Any of you guys read Eat, Shoots and Leaves?

That is a great book!

No, I hate Pandas. I hate looking at them, reading about them, and hearing about them (Radio, Podcasts, etc)

I also don't read books. I only read about special offers on boxes of serial and boxes of man-sized tissues.
