Folly To Be Wise (1952)

This doesn't get very good reviews on the IMDb, which just goes to show there's a lot of pricks in this world who don't know what they are talking about (OK, OK including me) as I've seen this twice now and always enjoy it, the joy especially being Alastair Sim in the leading part, and included are the likes of Miles Malleson (who could do a bumbling deaf GP any better?), a young Janet Brown, (the apparently flatulent) Martita Hunt, Mr Grimsdale!! (Edward Chapman) and Sim's protégé in a brief uncredited part, George Cole.

I think it's a good film and well worth a watch. Alastair Sim superb.

I remember this. I think it's quite clever and Colin Gordon is in it. He does self-importance very well.

Just watched for a third time, and it just gets better with each viewing. Alastair Sim - what can I say. The man is a comic genius.
