Cavalcade of Variety (1940)

I have similar to this on DVD somewhere as I'm a sucker for these early variety acts, and there are some really good ones in this, along with bloody awful ones, all put together (stuck together more like) by a "compere" in the shape of the bleedin' awful ventriloquist Peter Brough with what looks like a prototype Archie Andrews dummy, sitting in a theatre box pretending to watch these acts from clearly different theatres and nightclubs.

Pleasant hour or so.
