Every Home Should Have One (1970)

If you want to see Penelope Keith as a German dominatrix lesbian in black leather then this is the film for you, otherwise I found it severely lacking in the comedy department and makes me think that Ned Sherrin, who produced this, was not as funny as his reputation considering it was he who also produced "Up The Chastity Belt" I recently reviewed, which also left a lot to be desired.

Very mixed reviews on the IMDb, with one person saying "This still remains in my memory as one of the funniest films ever." - well you either have a very poor memory mate, or a shit taste in comedy.

With Marty Feldman in the lead this should have been much funnier, but like Spike Milligan in "Z Men", gurning every time you are on the screen is not enough. The female lead, and Feldman's wife, was taken by Judy Cornwell, who you might know better as Daisy in the TV sitcom "Keeping Up Appearances".

Some familiar faces, but the one that stuck in my mind was Alan Bennett in a short uncredited appearance as a Defence Solicitor - odd, and Frances de la Tour, Patrick Cargill and of all people Dave Dee from, of course, Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich.

Mish mash of an unfunny comedy film.

The casting director has a sense of humour anyway.
