The Rebel or The Punch and Judy Man? Page 3

Well, watched The Rebel, recently shown on TPTV and although it was funnier than I remember (especially Irene Handl "D'yer wanna a bit a cake?" Laughing out loud )**, I still prefer The Punch and Judy Man - I think the fact it is in B&W reminds me more of HHH and my childhood, which is probably why.

Just a little observation - I'd forgotten that one of my fave actors, Mervyn Johns was in it briefly.

** And Mario Fabrizi, always makes me laugh, in a brief appearance as the coffee bar owner, and didn't recognise Oliver Reed or Jean Marsh as two of the beatnik artists

"The Punch and Judy Man" is being shown at the Picturedrome, Bognor Regis (where, of course, it was filmed) at 7:30pm Saturday 30 September. All tickets £6.50 + 75p booking fee. https://pdbognor.admit-one.eu/?p=details&eventCode=80032

Your opportunity to see it in its natural surroundings and maybe look around the filming locations before the show: https://www.reelstreets.com/films/punch-and-judy-man-the/ Can't guarantee the rain though but, based on the past few days, you should be ok.

It's all starting to kick off in Bognor.

Would love to have gone, but.........................🙁

Those who watched Have I Got News for You on Friday will have seen this portrait of Gina Rinehart:

Image

Rinehart is the executive chairman of Hancock Prospecting, a privately owned mining company that was founded by her father: www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hancock_Prospecting

which obviously explains a lot.

"I painted her the way I see her... ...It captures her inner beauty"

"It's a self-portrait" "who of?"

Torn I am - absolutely love Irene Handl, but Patricia Hayes will always be Mrs. Cravat for me - her bag of cures for The Lad's ailments creases me up and other times when she is cooking his meals etc.
