Spate of them this week (does two count as a spate?), with another Home Guard film, but funnier (slightly) with the gormless George Formby. He's OK, but one a year is enough for me as his cheery manner and plonk, plonk, plonkety, plonk plonk sing along song is about as much as flesh and blood can stand.
Few uncredited faces, such as Harry Fowler and a very young looking Irene Handl (even though she was 42 at the time!), and with credits were the unfunny Ronald Shiner and a pre-"Sam Kydd", if you like, in the form of Wally Patch again.
