Tory leadership Page 24

Now thats more f**ked up than your views on Brexit, pigs and raisins is so wrong on so many levels.

That's a currant teacake. A teacake is plain.

Now I did not know that, I would have taken mine back and demanded currants in it as that's what you get around here>Yorkshire bakers are scrimping bastards no doubt they have a saying such as 'A currant saved is a currant more than you had'

A teacake is plain.

Not in Wales and the Borders, oddly.
Always raisins - sometimes bit of mixed peel.
They're also huge.
Me and the Mrs usually share one.

Sunak was competent and across his brief while Truss was a car crash.

Getting some flak just now, though, for telling a group of Members in Royal Tunbridge Wells that he's been working on diverting funds from deprived areas to places like where they live.
I'm sure that's what the good people of Tunbridge Conservative Club want to hear, but probably not wise to say it while being filmed.

I saw that , no doubt that's been held back till needed which confirms my assertion that Sunak wiped the floor with her and they fired the bullet, I wonder how many they have left?
As for Sunak himself he has latched onto a family that live in country where you step over the poor or kick them out the way depending how new your shoes are? And he is as ruthless as they are when it comes to anyone beneath their caste or social standing .

Yes, it was a few weeks ago, apparently.
It's probably been put out there to take the edge of Truss's "lower pay for regional civil service" gaff/U-turn.
We've got another month of this!

Given what is coming at us I would prefer to see a 'Round Table ' Government dedicated to making serious steps. The likes of Gordon Brown, Ken Clarke, Micheal Heseltine Dominic Greave and Caroline Lucas are what we need as the green aspect has to be included if we are to do anything that is long term.
We have been governed for far to long by self serving low intellect sociapths.
This nation regardless of its political views has to understand that polarized views have got us in untold shit and we need wise heads and genuine vision to weather the storm. Deprivation and hardship at a time when the Chinese and Russians are waving fists alongside populist western governments has got war written all over it.

"Levelling up" is absolute f**king bullshit

Anybody who buys into this crap from this bunch of liars is insane

I don't mind people disagreeing with me. I actually quite like it! But 90% of your posts are just snide attacks on people you disagree with. Why not argue properly? Why are the Tories so great? Why was Johnson such a great leader? Let's hear it!
I probably won't agree with it, but its a legitimate view.
For myself, I'd say Johnson is the only PM in recent times to be removed from office specifically for being corrupt and incompetent. He lied about breaking rules, he had introduced himself. He lied to the Queen. He accidentally appointed a sex offender. His government wasted £37 billion on a track and trace system which didn't work. He endlessly denies responsibility for things which he has done and attempts to claim credit for things which he hasn't.
I don't think there's anything "pathological" about objecting to these things.

Corrupt? I see no corruption in Boris' actions, incompetence maybe, but not corruption.

" His government wasted £37 billion on a track and trace system which didn't work."
Almost every computer project undertaken by the UK Govmt, whether Conservative or Labour initiated has failed at first shot, it takes years to get them right, but other measures (i.e. Vaccination) made the Track & Trace software pretty much irrelevant before the sort-out time was complete, so there was no real point in sorting it out for Covid.

Good points. I'd say Johnson was fairly corrupt though.
The constant lying about Partygate was corruption in itself. That wasn't just incompetence was it? He lied his arse off!
The private donors who contributed to the lavish refurbishment of Johnson's Downing Street flat.
The decision to ignore Pritti Patel's bullying.
The attempt to change the rules for Tory MP Owen Paterson after he was accused of wrongdoing.
In fact, the failure of the track and trace thing was largely due to the company getting the contract for it due to dodgy links to the government. This matters as it partly explains why the UK ended up suffering disproportionately during the pandemic.

Ummm and he was fined - by the Police!

So no surprise in the result.
But at 57% a lot tighter than predicted.
The lowest margin of victory for any Tory leadership contender, in fact.
And if the membership are that divided, that probably won't make for an easy ride.

Just another vile Tory. Different mask, same ugly mug underneath.
