Good idea Rood.

I think three of them were either born or died abroad, so if its the odd one out round, Eric Morecambe. If not, could it be that none were buried or maybe died near their place of birth ?

Very interesting ideas, Firk, but none of them is the answer on the card, I'm afraid.

There's no odd one out (at least not intentionally): you're just looking for a connection between the four clues.

All Lancashire towns.

You brainy beaky bastard!

Sorry, I mean "Well spotted, Beaky, old bean!" Laughing out loud

Yes, they are all historically Lancashire towns.

The changing of various borders and the invention of boroughs and districts may have altered the apparent geographic location of Crosby and Leigh over the years but "Lancashire towns" is fundamentally correct.

Ha! That's the only one I'll ever get, the others are much too hard for me.
