Just requested tickets for the new series recording. What are the chances we'll get em? Is it a luck of the draw kind-a-thing?
Yeah I did too. Totally luck I think.
It depends on the series, and the ticket company. In the case of The IT Crowd, I think it is mostly down to luck.
I'm new to The IT Crowd and have just watched the first three episodes of series one. To be honest I'm struggling with it. The first episode I thought was, on the whole, quite good. But episode two seemed no where as good and episode three felt quite poor. Roy & Mos are funny to an extent but I find Jen just plain annoying. At the end of episode three I was considering whether to bother watching any more. I read on this thread that it apparently gets better so I'll probably give it a go, although at the moment that seems like an up hill struggle.
Episode three was the first episode they recorded, so arguably the weakest (as they hadn't really settled into their characters or dynamic). I enjoyed but didn't really get into it that much, after the first series. But between that and the second, I spent a year working in an office, in an IT-related industry; I'm not sure if it was that it was stronger or that I was then familiar with the scenario, but I loved Series 2.
I think this kind of "their own little odd world" sitcom often takes some time for the viewer to accept and then go on to feel all warm and fuzzy about "living" in. Saying that, I felt the writing certainly became stronger and the show more confident during series 2.
Give it time, I was a sceptic ... but soon converted to a fan, patiently awaiting a Series 4!!!
All the best,
Cal
Good Lord, series 4?!?!
I knew I'd been away too long.
Can't wait.

I think they're all actually from thinkgeek
This isn't the proper IT Crowd thread is it, that was about 30 pages. Can we just have the one please mods.
The longer one is specifically for series 3.
There must be even more then. I remember posting a lot about series 1 and 2.
Oh right, good. Has that thread index feature always been there?
