It's also the way Tony delivers the line that creases me up with the sort of throwaway "There's a crate of stout in the post", and then in my mind, I see him taking an old fashioned wooden beer crate full of screw top bottle stout into a post office and getting indignant when they won't accept it. Love it!

Quiz 254 from Niki Walton, about Victoria Wood - like last week's one, not my area, so just 2/10 and 1/5, but I liked the imaginative choices in a few of the questions...

And 4/10 & 1/5 for me although I talked myself out of one I was pretty certain of because of the answer placing again, bah. Also my 4/10 was 4 of the first 5, then nothing. Good quiz, and hard even for avid fans I'd've thought. As they should be. (And I'm an admirer.)

6/10 this week. Numbers 1, 2, 3, 8 & 9 plus # 10 an educated guess.

Thanks a plate - it was fun to write, plenty of scope in Victoria's work to conjure up a few red herrings as possible answers.

Thanks Herc - when you look at Victoria's career it's very varied, so it was important to me to try and capture as many aspects as I could.

Yes a long a varied career even though it was cut short somewhat, she packed a lot in. So there's another quiz in there at least, or if you were Herc, 15.

And I don't do Twitter or FB but I believe Marc & Aaron put these things out there, so I'm sure her legion of fans will be busy trying their hands at it too.

Surprised to find out how much I didn't know about VW - of whom I (formerly) considered myself a fan.
Hats off to question writer for making the 'wrong' answers sound 'right'.
I can usually rule a couple out because they don't 'feel' genuine.

Ha! Possibly, but they were my best fifteen questions - I have a few more in my question bank about her various comedy works which might appear in a future general comedy quiz.

And I do do social media and am usually quite shameless at the self-promotion, but trying to step up a gear this week. We did get Gold and BBC Four both broadcasting Victoria Wood nights last night. Hoping some viewers will be taking a look online and end up at this website.

Thank you Lazzard, I would still consider yourself to be a Victoria Wood fan, all you need to be a fan is to appreciate someone's work

Again, no point in entering cos it'd be one hundred per cent guesswork. I am the only person in the world who doesn't like Victoria Wood.

Quiz 255 from Richard Gill, and of my better results of late, with 8/10 and 2/5.
A couple were guesses, but surprisingly most fell in my wheelhouse to some extent.
(Not sure there really needed to be three "where was so-and-so-born" questions though!)

Correct answers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 14, 15.

Yes enjoyable quiz Richard thank you, especially as I got a surprising 7/10 & 5/5. Nice to see a different angle of subject matter adding to the great variety of these quizzes.

A surprising 9/10 for me. I knew numbers 1-7 (not sure how or why I knew #6 but I did). #8 was an "educated" estimate, #9 was a completely random guess, #10 let me down completely.
