Yes, I've been given the nod from Mark at last you'll be pleased to know, but am waiting to hear from him about a date. Quiz 247 is up, by "new quiz setter, BCG reader Ross Richardson". A fiendishly tricky one - for me, anyway - I only got 2/10 and 2/5!
Correct: 1, 3, 12 and 13. The only one I knew for sure was no.13.
7/10 for me.
Numbers 1, 2 & 10 straight away;
Numbers 3 & 9 by a process of elimination;
Numbers 5 & 7 by way of "educated" guesses;
Disappointed I didn't know number 8 though.
5 & 3. Just done last week's as well and got 6 & 5. Herc's usually fall nicely for me.
This week's - Nice to see another new quiz setter in the mix, must be half a dozen at least now?
Just a tiny observation (not a quibble) about something both quizmasters have done, having two Qs on the same subject - a sitcom on both occasions. If a quizzer is a fan of that show, then the likelihood of getting both right is high, and if a quizzer isn't, that's probably two they've got wrong. Doesn't really matter, unless you were being highly competitive with other quizzers on your scores. It's bumped mine up on both.
Anyway a brownie point to Ross for succeeding in doing what I try but fall short of when I set mine, including a lot of women Qs and answer options. That should please Hildegard.

Hello Herc, I'm so pleased you Sellers quiz has been given the go ahead, naturally on the 25th I would prefer a quiz on the Fantastc Sellers [Dad's Army is brillant too]

Yes, it's definitely on now for the 26th July (the nearest Wed. to his death) and we're looking for later dates on the other two Dad's Army quizzes. 🙂

Whoa! Not me Alf - I have a strict rule of no two questions from the same show, UNLESS there is a definite link, which I did with the Alan Partridge question about whose name was he shouting out and then who played that character.
Welcome on board Ross! Lots of those questions related to individuals and works I'm very familiar with, but I still found it suitably fiendish I'm glad to say.
I got 8/10 and 4/5, with questions 1-3, 5-6, 8-10, and 12-15 correct.
Quiz 248 from Niki is up, and a good result for me this week... 9/10! And 2/5 on the bonus ones.
Correct ones: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 12, 15.
My favourite was question 5, with the quirky answer options of the different idiosyncrasies! 😄

Numbers 1, 4, 6 & 7 I knew and numbers 2, 3 & 9 i got right as being the likeliest of the alternatives given.
