The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco

I'm not sure this series is intended to be a comedy-drama but, as TV dramas go, this one is so bad it really is laughable.

The acting is largely wooden, the plotting is utterly preposterous and the moral messages are painted onto the screen with a brush so broad that the overall effect is little short of insulting.

I have a mental picture of some ITV executive reading the script for Episode One and thinking "You cannot be serious!" and thereafter immediately applying Turing-type logic to come to the conclusion that, if the writer wasn't serious, he must be joking and that the series, therefore, was, in fact, a comedy-drama.

I rest my case.
