My friend and I are putting on an event at the Bill Murray in London (https://www.angelcomedy.co.uk/event-detail/43135/) and would love for people to come down and attend! All the details are below:
**
You've left your bed and now you're just killing time until a roast dinner. Why not fill those no-man's-land Sunday hours with table reads of two scripts featuring some of the finest comedy talent London has to offer, and a headline set from Ben Target, "maverick physical comedian (and Edinburgh Best Newcomer nominee)" - Guardian.
'Goin' to Mars' by Kat Bond.
A young Iceland shop worker, Jayleene, becomes an unlikely astronaut in this script from award winning comic and actress Kat Bond, as seen on Channel 4, Sky Arts and heard on Radio 4.
'Lunch Break' by Steve Whyley and Michael Wheeler.
Three work colleagues escape the office each summer to sit on the same park bench and watch the world go by as they try to sort out their own lives. Michael is the co-creator of comedy night Pints ('Pints is a comedy happening' - Tony Law) and has written for BBC's Newsjack and created the web series 'Noel Wrighter: Screenwriter'. Steve created the sitcom 'Rules of Life', which was developed by Catherine Bailey Productions and starred Rich Keeble. The pilot episode generated interest from the BBC and has since been developed into a web series.
The afternoon will be hosted by Pope Lonergan, co-creator of The Care Home Tour and comedy night Pints, ("A part-time standup and full-time carer" - Guardian), and will feature performances from Jay Bennett, Matt Hutchinson, Richard Sandling, Ewan Barr, and more tbc.
