British Comedy Guide

What's the name of this Radio 4 comedy?

It was broadcast around 1999 and I think it ran for two series. It was a kind of spoof talk/magazine show, but it had two male presenters, each of whom thought it was their show, and who would quietly compete with eachother.

It was quite dry humour and I really liked it. I think they shared the same first name, but I'm not sure. Think two Alan Corens, bickering.

Any ideas?

Life, Death and Sex With Mike & Sue?

Giles and Victoria Coren maybe?

No, it was more down-beat. If you just tuned in you might think it was a normal Radio 4 show. Only as you listened longer would you realise it's not quite real.

The two presenters were reasonably established Radio 4 regulars, probably around 55.

Could it be Radio Active then?

I thought that

But it doesn't ring true at all due to this...

Good Morning With Lee and Herring?

Big fan of Lee and Herring, plus Radio Active. Not those.

Imagine Laurie Taylor and Alan Coren presenting You and Yours. That's pretty much this show.

It was 30 minutes long, 6 episodes, on at 11.30 Thursday mornings around 1999. (It wasn't The Afternoon Shift or Anderson Country)

I've just found a list of everyone who's been on Just a Minute. I think one of the two presenters may have been Miles Kington.

I've done a thorough search on Google but nothing comes up. (It's not Down Your Way, although there are similarities.)

Not this one?

Oh sorry you said two male presenters...

Found it! Double Vision.

Miles Kington and Edward Enfield, Harry's dad. I did a search on the Radio Times online archive under Kington.

There's little online about the show though. It was very good.
