Les Dawson - An Audience With That Never Was
I watched a program a while back (can't remember the name) but it was a sort of Les Dawson - this is your life.
I loved the fact that he was recording Sez Les at the Yorkshire TV studios and an actor failed to turn up so Roy Barraclough was dragged in as a replacement.
It was the first time they had met and became life long friends. Fate gave us Cissy and Ada.
We might never have had such great lines as; Me n Bert have just been to Greece; Did you have the shish kebabs? From the first day. Did you go to the acropolis? we were never off it.
And:-
ADA "Of course, it's all to do with me approaching the change................"
CISSY " Approaching the change!? From what direction?"
