News Review Rejection - RIP Last Man on Moon

This was a News Review rejection. It was after the death of Eugene Cernan, the last man on the moon.

VOICEOVER:
The worm community who live in a nearby apple are mourning the last worm to squirm on the surface of an orange. He was called Eugene, by the way.

WORM
We can't just rely on the bottles of OJ in museums!

VOICEOVER
A spokesworm is reported to have said. He continued:

WORM
We must be spending money on getting worms into paper planes and back up there! The resources in the apple are not finite by any manner or means.

VOICEOVER
The Great Orange Race happened about a quarter of an hour ago and there are still six Orangenauts still alive...no, sorry they've gone. Forget I mentioned it. Back to the show.

This is far too confusing. There isn't a clear enough link made between worms on an apple and humans on the Earth. And it'd look rather strange on a stage especially given its short duration. It all seems rather pointless. Sorry.

Hi Paul,
I agree with Yacob. You need to explain in the intro the connection with the astronaut's death.

And the length means it does not really work as a sketch or a joke.

Not sure why there needs to be, seems an excuse for a silly sketch to me. Thanks for the feedback, though.
