I know there is something on the general RIP thread, but this man deserves his own.
I actually shed a tear this morning when I heard this on what was rightly the main news item on the BBC TV news.
I would love to have shared a pint with him in his local pub as it would have been wonderful to hear his tales. To not say anything and just let him speak for the entire evening with me mesmerised by his dulcet tones.
He seemed such a lovely man and was certainly a wonderful actor.
Yes, Sir John, RIP you will be very sadly missed.
