Anyone been watching this?

Yep. Enjoying it so far. Not HBO's best, but certainly watchable.

Anyone been watching this?

Yes, largely outstanding, with a few silly bits.

Well I loved the original film. One of the few films I went to the pictures to see in the 1970s.

I might give that a go

I always thought that Yul Brinner was the meal you had at Christmas between Breakfast & Dinner

Mrs Will Cam. It is very slow and like a lot off American shows overuses 'dramatic or atmospheric' music.

I am a big fan of the original. This is just using the name.

I love the original film and enjoyed this series but thought it tried to hard to cram in too many twists.

There was a time when a joke of this quality would have got at least a frowny face

So as a fan of the film is the TV show any good or just stretching the idea beyond its justifiable extent?

Forget the film, the series does its own thing.
