RIP (Here we go again!) Peter Sarstedt

David Bowie kicked 2016 off and now 2017 follows a similar pattern. :(

RIP Mr Sarstedt

Indeed :(. One of my favourite - and oft quoted - songs:

"And when the snow falls you're found in St. Moritz
with the others of the jet set
and you sip your Napoleon brandy
but you never get your lips wet, no you don't..."

The 3 Sarstedt brothers are the only set of 3 brothers all to make the UK charts separately as solo artists.

Aw Naw!

I've a lot of memories of this. - mainly my father was dying at the time of that song.

Peter, Robin and Eden do you mean?

Quote from Steve Ellis of Love Affair fame.

"He was a very funny man and could write a decent song one of which was the epic 5 + Minute "Where do you go to (my lovely)".I asked Pete why so long and he replied " I wanted to see how many lyrics and verses I could write for one song before I ran out of them" with his typical humour. However it won an Ivor Novello for best song of that year which must have surprised him."

RIP.
