BBC2 afternoon reruns

BBC Two are bringing back the afternoon classics section starting 22nd August with...

Three Up Two Down - 2:00pm
Hi-De-Hi! - 2:30pm

Yes Minister is scheduled for the day after at 3:00pm but it may start on the 22nd as schedules aren't confirmed yet.

Pesonally I think this is a good thing, especially Hi de HI as it is not repeated often. Was there not a few dodgy scenes in Hi de Hi which saw viewers may find offensive ( the PC brigade)

Saw the reruns recently well about a year ago of Three up Two Down which was OK. Worth watching for Lysette Anthony if nothing else

I don't remember anything dodgy in Hi-De-Hi.

There was a scene where the female yellow coats were sunbathing topless though (not that you saw anything). Wonder if they' d cut that?

A little bit of a shame that they're not being more adventurous in their selection of programmes to show, but it'll be great to have the repeats back all the same.

I agree Aaron, however they will be looking at viewing figures as a benchmark, hence the reason they play it safe

As an example OFAH, it has been flogged to death on GOLD for about the last 8 years, been on just about every day. The reason for this is simple it still gets good ratings whenever it's on. If they went for something perhaps a bit obscure, Nighty Nighty, Black books, etc viewing figures would drop like a stone
