Glastonbury 2016 Page 4

I remember being first impressed by Coldplay at Glastonbury many years ago when the first album had just come out. Strange how good they sound really. It's nothing special but it just "works".

Yes, I remember my son playing that album one day and I said right away they would go far.

I saw them twice in concert...first in Zürich (tour for the second album) and then in Locarno (third album) at a festival. They were amating back then. I didn't like last two or three last albums at all...but they're still good in concert I think.

I haven't watched an awful lot this year. George, do you think the 2016 edition was a good one?

I did respond to you, Gordon, eventually. :) Don't know if you saw it?

Interested to know what you're able to access from abroad on the BBC Music sites. Live streams? Clips? Official BBC clips on YouTube?

Some great modern blues -

Gordon/DaButt, the whole set is also available elsewhere, if you do a search.

Didn't see a Glastonbury 2017 thread.. so I thought I post on here instead.

Anyone going this year?

I have already begun shopping for my stuff to take. Obvs you have to have a jacket when you go so my BF bought me a Rains Jacket. Also, I bought some shorts yesterday.. what do you guys think?

Up to £79 for a pair of shorts? That's £74 more than I would be looking to pay.

Not that I've ever been to Glastonbury, and I have no intention of ever doing so, but I always understood that a pair of wellies was more the order of the day.

Glastonbury used to be about going to see great bands and singers. Funny the way things change.
