Remember this sitcom?

Trying to remember a sitcom from about '98? It featured an American singer who was obsessed with British history? It also had a nun who with a catchphrase like Mrs. Doyle's?

Are we just making these up now?

Does sound like a great show though. One of us should write it. :D

It does sound good actually, lol. We can work in a load of Americans are ignorant, fat and stupid jokes and do a nice bit of history, proper history, British history. And then the Nun, well, hours of fun!

I was trying to think there too.

I'm going to write a pilot for this, see you all in 10 minutes...

Since the main character is obsessed with British history, it's safe to say he has a love affair with Britain in general, so make him act over-the-top English. Like, have him putting on a horrible cockney accent and calling everyone 'govna' and 'my son'. Whenever there's a word that's different in Br. English (lift, fag, pavement, et cetera), have him put emphasis on those words.

Just like converts to a new religion are usually more religious than those born into it, so too I'm guessing would our protagonist be more English than the English.

Maybe have him start a campaign of reparations from France for 1066. Laughing out loud

And Italy for AD54 (I think), Denmark for the Vikings, Germany for the Saxons etc etc etc
