Leonard Rossiter Page 3

I've been meaning to get the book for a long time. Thanks for reminding me. It's a lovely story. Something I can relate to I guess. I'm with Reggie - "What's the point of it all?"

Have you or anyone else here ever seen the special one off episode (filmed in 1996 I think) called "The Legacy of Reginald Perrin"?

I've heard it wasn't that great. But I really gotta see it! It's not on DVD though. :(

Well, I do have it, but it was a seven-episode series, not a one-off special!

Unless there was something else again by the same name of course.

wow...really? :O Where did ya get it?! Fancy selling me a copy? :D

Send me a PM and I'll see what we can do.

I thought I would rather morbidly bring this thread back up, by way of a small token of praise for such a great talent. 24 years today. RIP.

That long? :O

Nice to know I was alive at the same time he was though.

You just missed out on Sid James.

I can live with that. ;)

:O

I just mean I like Leonard more!

Acceptable. :)

I was thinking, if Rising Damp was ever brought back, the way Dad's Army has been (on stage), who could play rigsby? I'm not talkng about a look-a-like, just someone who could re-create the character of Rigsby best.

A hateful, whiny miser who pisses off black, white and women. Who lives in a decaying home, he doesn't do anything to maintain?

Gordon Brown, has to be.

Laughing out loud

How about Lee Mack? He's not really old enough, but I think he'd be brilliant.
