Darth Vader RIP

His reading of Poe's poem "The Raven" in an early Simpson's is the finest ever rendition - such a perfect voice for such a work, that maybe might just be edged out by Vincent Price.

So, Rest In Peace, my good man. James Earl Jones 93, and such a good age

The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe

"Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore--
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door--
Only this and nothing more."

Yes. Sad news. Mike Pratt who played Randall died in 1976. At least Cope got a good innings.

Yes, I heard he was a good cricketer, and coincidentally just seen him this week in an early episode of the TV series of Robin Hood, with Richard Greene.

Rest in Peace ✝️

He died? Howzat?

I suspect he saw some irony in that. But hardly a surprise, as I don't think there was a scene where he wasn't smoking, and he did get knocked on the head an awful lot, and back then it was probably with real guns.
