Robbie Robertson - rest in peace. He was a considerable talent.

Hugely influential member of hugely influential band.
Gone across The Great Divide.
RIP

Yes. I love the album "The Band" and still listen to it frequently.

RIP Mrs. Warboys.

RIP Mrs. Warboys.

Absolutely yes - a great actress who, amongst other credits was fab in one of me and Mr L's 1970s fave 1970s historical drama series, namely 'The Duchess of Duke Street'. Mrs Warboys was a superb character - tactless, rude and more than a sparky foil to Victor. The episode in which she elects to have a waxwork made of her is sublime.

Patricia Bredin, age 88. The singer of the UK entry, "All" in the 1957 Eurovision Song Contest in Frankfurt.

RIP Michael Parkinson.

Sad... By a curious coincidence I was recently watching his Paul McCartney interview on a Macca bootleg. Legend.

RIP Michael Parkinson.

OMG - I hadn't realised 😳 [goes off to check that stalwart of unbiased news coverage The Daily Mail app.]

He was the last of his kind doing those interviews. Now it's all about the interviewer.

That's a good point. The Inbetweeners reunion f**ked up cos Jimmy Carr took over.

RIP Sir Michael Parkinson, undoubtedly the greatest tv talk show/chat show host of all time.

That's a good point. The Inbetweeners reunion f**ked up cos Jimmy Carr took over.

Jimmy was comparable to James Cordon on the Friends reunion. The pre-recorded stuff with the cast was amazing and well worth the wait but James seemed a very unlikely choice of host. Another problem with the Inbetweeners reunion was some of the stars of the show seemed to be mocking the fans and that's never a good look.

He was very popular here in Oz.

RIP Parky.

Perhaps now El Fayed will get some peace and be able to find out if Dodi and Di were actually murdered, which was the bee in his bonnet.

Lived to a good age - 94
