RIP Barry Humphries

And Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson. All much missed.

RIP Barry Humphries, from Dame Edna to Sir Les - a true comedy giant.

Les Patterson for me - loved the character.

Rest In Peace Mr Humphries

His 'deaf dog' joke still ranks in my top ten.
RIP

Peter Martin RIP
Joe from The Royle Family (amongst many other things)

Yes, Rest In Peace. Didn't know his name, but the man with the lovely singing voice and banjo (?)

Jerry Springer RIP

Went to a funeral this afternoon of a teacher who was at the school I worked at, and he was 6 years younger than me, and now of late, there are loads of people around my age group that are popping off - this is getting all very worrying

In the meantime, RIP Mr Springer

RIP Gordon Lightfoot. He made some brilliant records.

Yes I just saw this sad news
One of my favourite songwriters
RIP Gordon

Well, that's weird or spooky, which ever way you want to look at it..............

On BBC4 tonight at 10, they are showing Michael Palin's "East of Ipswich", which I presume they will cancel?

And now this in today's East Anglian Daily Times - Rest In Peace from me..........

"Monty Python star announces death of wife he met in Suffolk"

Monty Python star Sir Michael Palin has announced the death of his wife of 57 years.
The actor and TV veteran, 79, wrote on his website that Helen, whom he met while still a teenager, had been suffering from chronic pain and kidney failure.
Sir Michael met his future wife while holidaying in the seaside town of Southwold, Suffolk, and later fictionalised the encounter in a 1987 TV drama for the BBC titled East Of Ipswich.

RIP Maria Charles. Maureen Lipman's mum in Agony.

Only just seen this but it looks like it was last month.

But also the lovely Linda Lewis.

Just learned that former Curved Air keyboard player Francis Monkman died last week.

I think Andy Smart is mentioned elsewhere on the site
and that's a sad loss, used to love his little appearances on the Hawksbee and Jacobs radio show
